Bioworks is a leading provider of orthotics and Durable Medical Equipment in Southwest Ohio. We pride ourselves on providing quality care and a variety of products from many different manufacturers to meet the needs of our doctors and patients. Not every person is the same and as such, not every brace will fit the needs of every patient we see. Because of this we find that by supplying durable medical equipment from a variety of manufacturers allows us to place a patient in a brace that they will be comfortable in and actually wear.

Founded in 1984 as the Back Care Shop, we were a small office catering to ergonomically correct back cushions, chairs, pain management modalities, and a few other smaller braces that our orthopedic clients needed. We were based on the founding principals of our owner Linda Brill to enhance the quality of a patient's life by working with their orthopedic doctor to provide what items they might need during their care.

That message of caring has since grown into what today is Bioworks, we have been serving the Greater Cincinnati/ TriState area ever since. With our 24/7 on call service and caring staff we have grown into a multi office facility, serving not only the orthopedic community, but the primary care doctors, internists, podiatrists, pain management specialists, and many other specialties.

Our Mission Statement is a simple one:

Bioworks, Inc. is dedicated to providing the highest quality orthopedic rehabilitation and pain management products, services and education to patients at the same time that they need them, assuring that the needs and desires of physicians, physical therapists, and health care providers are also met.

Our credentialed and qualified clinical staff includes Certified & Licensed Orthotist, Pedorthists, as well as athletic trainers and orthotic fitters. Our staff is dedicated to providing our patients with the most complete and personalized service available. We have several conveniently located full service offices throughout Southwest Ohio, but also see patients at many of the local area hospitals, rehabilitation facilities, physician and physical therapy offices, as well as at the patients' home if the situation calls for it.

Bioworks provides the most comprehensive service and widest selection of orthopedic products available in the tri-state area.

We provide both custom and off-the-shelf tracking and foot orthotics, continuous passive motion machines for the knee and numerous electric modalities.

Patients are instructed in the effective use of our products and we guarantee their total satisfaction.

BRACE PROGRAM

In addition to our main office, we provide services for various Orthopedic Groups in the Cincinnati Area. This approach enables your physician to select a brace to accommodate the patient's needs while at the same time approving the fit without the patient having to leave their office.

Being one of the area's largest suppliers of orthopedic braces and soft goods, we have developed strong working relationships with a highly select group of manufacturers. In addition to the manufacturer warranties, Bioworks provides a 100% patient and physician satisfaction guarantee of all our products. This diversity of product and vendors ensures that every item we carry is of the highest quality.

Our bracing program includes braces that most orthopedic doctors, Podiatrists, Primary Care doctors, or others may require for their patients.

In addition we also carry many ambulatory aides, such as crutches, canes, and walkers.

TENS PROGRAM

With the array of products and therapies on the market for patients to seek pain relief from, our TENS program has been extremely successful as a result of our comprehensive care. Our years of working closely with chronic pain patients have provided our technicians with a wealth of knowledge and experience.

A Physician's prescription is always required to be a candidate for our TENS therapy program.

All patients will be scheduled with an appointment to be fit by one of our Bioworks experienced Clinicians. Appointments can be made at several of our Bioworks locations or if preferred your physician or therapist can fit the unit. There is never any office charge for the fitting appointment. This appointment can last up to an hour, so please schedule accordingly. During this evaluation you and if need be, a family member will be instructed on the use of the TENS unit as well as set up of the device. You will leave with the TENS unit on and then will be followed up with on a regular basis.

Once TENS efficacy is established and our patient is comfortable with the use and maintenance of the unit, we will ask them to call us to order supplies when needed. Bioworks ships all supplies to the patients by mail or in some instances UPS or similar carrier when needed at no cost to the patient.

CUSTOMER SATISFACTION

Bioworks provides an emergency on call service system to our patients, physicians, and hospitals. With this system, a Bioworks Representative can be contacted 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to respond to hospital calls, Physician orders, or Equipment failure/malfunction.

Customer Comment Cards are made available in all our offices to monitor customer satisfaction and to solicit suggestions. All returned cards are reviewed by our management team. It is Bioworks policy to handle complaints and concerns with respect and understanding towards the patient. All patient complaints, concerns, and negative surveys shall be directed to the Vice President of the company for immediate resolution.

BIOWORKS WARRANTY POLICY

Bioworks Inc has a 15 day return policy on all products based on 100% patient satisfaction. Products may be returned due to defects beyond normal wear and tear, provided no alterations have been made. Some products are warranted for a longer period by the manufacturer and Bioworks honors all such warranties. Returns on custom fabricated items are based on specific manufacturer guidelines. All products are subject to inspection upon return.

Steve Brill

Steve is Vice President, COO, and CFO at Bioworks. He holds an Orthotist Certification from the American Board for Orthotic Certification and is licensed by the State of Ohio. He has an Engineering Degree from Purdue University and a Masters of Business Administration from Xavier University.

Steve joined Bioworks in January 1994. He then proceeded to complete Northwestern University's Orthotist Certification Program in 1995 and received his Orthotist Certification in 1997. Steve is qualified to work with all orthotic patients and specializes in Sports Medicine and Pediatrics.

Steve is married to Linda Brill (President and Founder of Bioworks). They have two sons, Robby and Gordy.

Tammy Daulton

Tamara Daulton has been employed by Bioworks, Inc. since 1996. Within her scope of practice she has worked every aspect of the business from marketing and sales, billing, clinician, Orthotist Assistant, and now as the companies only Pedorthist. She attended the University of Akron, where she graduated with a Bachelors of Science in Education with an emphasis in Athletic Training.

Through her work at Bioworks she was then given the opportunity to go back to Northwestern University for her pedorthics education. Board certified and licensed by the State of Ohio in pedorthics since 2003, Tammy has served on the Board of Directors for PFA (Pedorthic Footcare Association) since 2008. Through this networking she is able to provide Bioworks with a wide spectrum of Pedorthic knowledge and experience.

She is married and has one child, a boy who keeps her busy during all her free time with his sporting events.

Chris Gearhardt

Chris holds dual certification through the Board of Certification for Orthotics & Prosthetics and The American Board of Certification in Orthotics & Prosthetics and is licensed by the State of Ohio. She earned her Bachelor Degrees in Sports Medicine and Health Enhancement & Appraisal from Miami University in 1993.

Chris joined Bioworks in 1998 as an orthotic fitter. She had previously been the Athletic Trainer for Monroe High School. In 2001, she completed her requirements for BOC's internship program and received her Orthotist Certification. Chris is qualified to work with all orthotic patients and enjoys Geriatric, Sports Medicine, and the Pediatric Populations.

Chris is married to Mitch and they, along with sons Justin and Nathan, reside in Franklin, Ohio.

Bioworks has many convenient locations to offer to our patients. We are available for all your bracing needs and adjustments at most of our offices. Please call us to verify hours of operation.

Our Main Office always accepts walk-in patients, but please note some items do require an appointment.

Monday — Thursday: 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Friday: 8:00 a.m to 5:00 p.m.
